Soul Creative Design & Press came to life over 4 years ago from island artist & owner Sara Forsberg's desire to follow her heart and do what she loves to do—for a living! She has been a graphic designer for over 20 years and has been creating artwork for as long as she can remember. Sara has been documenting her life's journey, inspirations, travels and the beauty around her with a camera and a pen since she was 12 years old.  She has a passion for photography, drawing, painting and printing and is always exploring new mediums to express herself artistically. Getting introduced to the world of letterpress printing in 2013 was no accident. She saw an opportunity to continue to expand as a designer, and this traditional craft allowed her to incorporate all her interests into one place. The whole process of designing and printing—from that initial spark, to a finished piece—fascinates her. She loves putting ink on paper and bringing her designs to life. She uses recycled and sustainably sourced paper along with tree-free, cotton rag paper to print her designs on, and incorporates plant-based inks and even uses plant-based packaging and protective sleeves, which are home compostable.

Sara also co-owns an artist boutique called Revel Artistry Collection. with her sister in Honoka'a, and together they love featuring the work of all Big Island artists, including themselves.

Sara's mission at Soul Creative Design & Press is to provide fun, original, hand-illustrated, digital and hand pressed artwork into the world that brings someone joy, light, love and beauty of the Big Island. You can learn more and see her creations by visiting her website!
